Gallery rifle shooting has always been around, but became much more popular after cartridge-firing pistols were banned in 1996.
All shooting is done in the standing position. At T.R.A we shoot mainly at a distance of 20 to 50 yards on the Melville range at Bisley.
Like all shooting, gallery rifle can be shot just for fun, or at serious competition level. We encourage competition and shoot in a number of different leagues, mainly in “postal” competitions.
You'll find a friendly and sociable atmosphere here — full training and safety tuition is given to all novice members.
